The most common happy endings that I've seen people give to Johanna in fanfiction is having her move to District 4 to help Annie raise her baby in Finnick's absence, or having her start a romantic relationship with Gale (probably because of that one short scene in Mockinjay where she hits on him).
In so many ways, in the first two books, our eyes were the Capitol’s eyes. Falling in love with Katniss and Peeta. Letting the senseless violence send us to the edge of our seats. Yelling for the blood of the Careers in the arena. Collins could have just given us over to that. But in Mockingjay, we pay for it.
