BatteryDrain from MMI - Temp Fix. I have a 2005 A6 3.2 with MMI It currently has 150,000mi, lately the battery has been drained to 10% when I go out to the car, the exterior "leaving home" lights fail to turn on as well as the interior lights, until i start the car. SomeAudi cars have a plastic cover on top of the battery. Remove the screws that hold the cover in place, and pull out the cover to access the battery. Connect the red clamp (+) to the positive terminal.
