The new volvo's are very sensitive for oil overfill, it is important that you don't fill the oil, even if the car says it's half empty. The sensors to measure the oil level are having problems. Volvo is replacing a lot of them. And make sure that they use the correct oil! Butstarting in 1998, Volvo added the ability to reset the oil change (or service light) with a series of steps using the instrument cluster buttons, eliminating the need for a scan tool. Had to have the whole clutch pedal assembly changed on my 2016 V40 T3 within 2 years of owning it from new.
