I think your first set of ascended gear will take a while to get (still probably not as bad as anything in WoW) but outside of that gearing for power is pretty good in GW2 with respecting your time. I personally think some of the map achievement stuff does not do a great job of respecting the players' time though. 13. In PvP it's simply 5vs5 in a short match and WvW is an all time ongoing fight between 3 different servers, where each side can capture many objectives on several maps. Or at least, it used to be 3 servers, a while ago they started grouping several servers together as one of the 3 to balance the player counts a bit. For 10 years now I have heard again and again how great game is Guild Wars 2, how it "respect" your time, it gives competative people good PvP and it gives peaceful people good PvE, GW2 has huge variety in activities - PvP, PvE, events, exploring, crafting, collecting (chievos, fashion, mounts, etc.) In other words, GW2 is the best MMORPG on the market Well, no.
